There is finally a solution for combining solid fuel with oil or gas, The Oxyvent Tank is the only product available that gives complete control over the water temperatures in both boilers.

The cracking and banging noises that are associated with solid fuel is called Thermal shock, which is the sudden mixing of hot and cold water temperatures. The Oxyvent system is set up to control the water temperatures in the solid fuel boiler by not letting the water temperature in the boiler go over 60oC and keeping the boiler return temperature at 50oC.

The cold return water coming back from the radiators is mixed inside the Oxyvent Tank and cannot return back to the boiler until its temperature is raised back up to 50oC. This design prevents thermal shock from taking place inside the boiler and eliminates banging and cracking.

How does the PV+ help?

By monitoring the incoming supply voltage, the PV+ unit allows the Solar PV inverter to compliantly stay in circuit for longer, preventing nuisance over voltage shut down and keeping you generating for longer. Meaning a faster return of investment for existing and new systems alike.

Additionally, as excessive voltage is given up as heat in electrical appliances, running the PV inverter closer to it’s designed voltage will reduce stresses caused by overheating and potentially help increase it’s operating life.

Installation

The PV+ unit has been design to simply replace the lockable AC isolator located next to the consumer unit. With simple wire in wire connection all housed in a compliant metal case installation could not be easier.
