About Solar Panels
We deal with a wide range of solar panel and inverter manufacturers.
The cost of installing solar is now at its lowest point, linked in with a generous financial return from the current UK Feed in Tariff, giving our customers an ongoing power supply in times of future shortages and rapidly increasing prices.
The Basic Principles of Solar
All installations have to be MCS approved to qualify for the scheme.
For more information on financial incentives, see https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications-and-updates/feed-tariff-fit-generation-export-payment-rate-table-01-july-30-september-2016
You can use 100% of the power generated through your system to power your home and heat your hot water (hot water tank required).
How much can I make from solar?
Returns from your solar system depend on your buildings orientation and the quality of the panels and the inverter you install. Contact us for more information about your individual needs.
In 2010, the UK government launched the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme to encourage homeowners to generate their own renewable, low-carbon electricity using solar photovaltaic (PV) panels and other renewable technologies (learn more at: https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/environmental-programmes/fit/about-fit-scheme). This incentives allows homeowners to generate their own clean energy and increase energy savings while doing so.
The FiT Scheme offers three separate financial benefits:
- A generation tariff payment (the FiT); Based on the total electricity generated from a PV System.
- An export tariff payment (the Export Tariff): For any energy not used and exported to the grid. This is deemed to be 50% of the total electricity generated from the PV system.
- Self-consumption Savings Based on today's electricity market, we anticipate lower bills from your traditional energy supplier as you use less traditional energy and more of your own generated energy.
- Once a PV System is accredited, the FiT and Export Tariff are guaranteed for 20 years and their value increases every year according to RPI.
